When you would like to use one of the services that is provided by ID SIS HPC, then you need to authenticate yourself with an account. For some services we use the NETHZ account for authentication, for others there are accounts, which are local on the system.

Brutus

Since the Brutus cluster will soon be end-of-life, we will stop creating new accounts on this cluster after 31.10.2016. Until then, new accounts are only created for shareholders, i.e. for members of the groups who have invested in Brutus. All other people are invited to use the Euler cluster instead. Members of a shareholder group that would like to use Brutus can fill out the account request form at

Euler

We have reduced the administrative procedure to zero: no paperwork, no account request form, nothing. Any member of ETH can use Euler straight away; the only requirement is a valid NETHZ account.

Calculus (MATLAB distributed computing server)

Any member of ETH can use the Calculus service, the only requirement is a valid NETHZ account. In order to use calculus, you first need to login to the Euler cluster once and accept the usage agreement

CLC genomics server

The CLC genomics server uses local accounts for authentication. If you would like to use this service, then please contact cluster support to request your CLC account.
