On Wednesday 24 February 2021, network maintenance in the CSCS data centre will cause an interruption of the network between Zurich and Lugano for about 15 minutes between 18:00 and 20:00.
Euler will remain operational during the whole network maintenance and most batch jobs will be running normally. However, during the 15-min interruption:
- Login to Euler will not be possible
- Existing login sessions may hang or get closed (this may also file transfer using scp, rsync, etc.)
- Jobs attempting to access the central NAS of ETH (or other storage systems at ETH) will hang while the network is down but should resume normally once the network is back up
To be on the safe side, we will inactivate all queues to make sure that no new job is starting between 18:00 and 20:00.
There is no action required on your part.
