CSCS informed us that the data center's cooling infrastructure will be undergoing maintenance on Wednesday, 21 September 2016, which will require a complete shutdown of Euler.

In addition, the Networks group of ETH will take this opportunity to upgrade the main router at CSCS the evening before this maintenance.

Euler will therefore be off-line from Tuesday evening, 20 September until Wednesday evening, 21 September.

As usual, all batch queues will be progressively inactivated to ensure that no job is killed when the nodes are shut down.

CSCS just informed us that the data center's cooling infrastructure will be undergoing maintenance on Wednesday, 21 September 2016. Since Euler cannot operate without cooling, we are forced to shut down all compute nodes on this day.

  • All compute nodes will be shut down at 7:00 Wednesday morning;
