ETH Network issue (15.12.2024)

On Friday 15. December 2023, many systems and services were not reachable due to a DNS issue, causing problems in the ETH network.

Systems and services were affected between 6:37 pm and 7:42 pm. During this time:

  • Euler cluster was not reachable
  • Some cluster nodes lost connection to the Slurm batch system and jobs running on those nodes potentially crashed

After the DNS problem was resolved, the cluster login again worked. If you lost jobs due to the network issue, then please resubmit them again, they should now run through.
