Upcoming Euler VII expansion

The next major expansion of the Euler cluster — Euler VII — will be based on the same kind of compute nodes as Euler VI, namely:

  • High-throughput, medium-memory node: 128 cores and 256 GB RAM
  • High-throughput, large-memory node: 128 cores and 512 GB RAM

Given the uncertainties caused by Covid-19, we want to order the hardware in June already to ensure delivery before the end of the year. We need to define quickly how many compute nodes we shall order. Since this number depends on the requirements of our users, please contact Cluster Support if you are interested in this expansion.
